NEUF BRISACH
Neuf Brisach was a 15th-century Vauban fortress laid out in a star pattern with a moat and walls surrounding the city. This view shows the road leading west to Colmar just outside the Porte de Colmar entry. The Germans sabotaged the roadways
over the moats in the final days of its frantic movement across the Rhine bridges to the east.
