JEBSHEIM
Jebsheim was one of a string of fortified towns in the north to south communication grid east of Colmar. The 254th Regiment, newly attached to the 3rd Division, was tested in its first combat in the Colmar Pocket. The Regiment cleared 1,000 prisoners in three days of fierce fighting at Jebsheim.
