RIBEAUVILLE

The 4th Platoon of the 46th Quartermaster Graves Registration Company was sent from Epinal to Ribeauville December 10, 1944. Four platoons of the 46th landed with VI Corps in southern France traveling with the Seventh Army through September 1944, before assembling at the Epinal cemetery. The 3041st Quartermaster Graves Registration Company attached to the Seventh Army on September 29. The units were responsible for retrieval, identification, transportation, burial of all combatants, and maintaining cemeteries.
