PLAINFANG
Near Plainfaing where the road becomes a switchback, a long column of Moroccan Goumier infantry moves along the snow covered road. The Goumiers were attached to French troops since the fighting in North Africa. The Moroccan battalions (tabors) were both north and south of the Colmar Pocket with the 3rd Algerian Division attached to Monsabert's II Corps in the north.
