General Charles de Gaulle and General Philippe Leclerc at the 3rd Division headquarters in Ribeauville on Christmas Day 1944. On the far right is General Joseph de Goisiard de Monsabert. Monsabert commanded the 3rd Algerian Infantry Division and the French Expeditionary Corps in Italy and commanded the French II Corps in the French First Army in France.
