KAYSERSBERG
The local children of Kaysersberg were the recipients of "goodies" distributed by officers and men of the 30th Regiment not far from the battle lines on Christmas Day 1944. Acting 30th Regiment commander Lt. Col. Richard H. Nedderson is seen with his hand on the boy's shoulder.
