SOUTH OF MONTELIMAR
The carnage leading into Montelimar was credited to the 1st Battallion, 15th Regiment, 3rd Division. At least 400 vehicles were caught by mortar and small arms fire south of the city. The 10th Engineers began clearing the road immediately.
