NUREMBERG ZEPPELINFELD
April 24, 1945
Southeast of Nuremberg's center stood the never-completed Nazi Party Parade Grounds envisioned by Hitler and his architect Albert Speer to represent the might and style of the new Germany. On April 22, 1945 at another flag raising event, the 30th Regiment again represented the 3rd Division in the Zeppelinfeld where Hitler once stood in front of massive rallies with 100,000 spectators as seen in Leni Riefenstahl's 1934 film "Triumph of the Will".
