REMIREMONT - GEORGE C. MARSHALL
This is the scene outside the 3rd Division War Room on the morning of October 9, 1944 in Remiremont as photographers and correspondents wait for an appearance from Army Chief of Staff George C. Marshall. Marshall traveled from VI Corps HQ along with Lt. General Hardy, General Devers, and General Truscott to visit the 3rd Division and then proceeded to the 36th and 45th divisions.
