POMOY
A 3rd Division M.P. poses with a monkey north of Vesoul at Pomoy. With the fall of Vesoul on Sept. 12, VI Corps had logged a 400 mile advance in less than 28 days. the Seventh Army had captured 100,000 Germans since the beachhead landings while positioning a great army at the foothills to the Lower Vosges Mountains at a cost of 13,000 Allied casualties.
