EPINAL
Seventh Army commander General Patch pins a medal on an unidentified soldier at the 15th Regiment command post in Epinal, France on October 18, 1944. The following day, 86 soldiers were honored by Lt. General Young, assistant commander of the 3rd Division, where the 163rd SPC's Gretz, Katz, and Jenkins, attached to the 3rd Division, photographed all 86 recipients in a driving rain.
