JEBSHEIM
An ambulance carries the bodies of two fallen French soldiers in Jebsheim during 254th Regiment's action in the Colmar Pocket. Initial action in Jebsheim was against a seven-foot pillbox defended by 12 German soldiers as the armor and infantry battle for the town began Jan. 26 with a 15-minute artillery barrage.
