HACHIMETTE
Another view of the 3rd Division training for winter combat in Hachimette. To the north of Strasbourg in early January, the Seventh Army contained attacks from the Nordwind operation and the SS troops pushing north along the Rhone-Rhine Canal towards Strasbourg from the Colmar line. Ultimately none of the Nordwind attacks slowed or stopped the January 20 start of the Colmar operation.
