PLAINFANG
Part of an Allied convoy on the route between Fraize-Plainfang-Le Bonhomme in early January 1945. By mid-January, the 3rd Division, under the French II Corps of General Monsabert, with the newly attached 254th Regiment and 10th Armored Division, occupied a 25-mile line centered on Kaysersberg facing south into the Colmar Pocket.
