BAD WILDUNGEN, GERMANY 1945
All these buildings in this view were used for billeting the 3rd Signal Company in Bad Wildungen. The house on the right was used by Captain Mist. The 3rd Signal Company occupied buildings and houses on two adjacent streets (Stresemannstrasse and Othenbergstrasse). A former children's home named Rumpelstiltskin, that became part of a trade school in 1938, was used for military overnight accommodations and then converted to a dining facility for enlisted men before being converted to a school for children of military personnel in 1947. In 1954 the properties were returned to their owners.
