FUSCHL - VON RIBBENTROP'S ESTATE
Almost 10 weeks of life without combat was enjoyed in a variety of ways by the 3rd Division in Salzburg from May 4 - July 13, 1945. This 3rd Division soldier is enjoying a rest area located at the mansion estate of Joachim von Ribbentrop in Fuschl. From 1945-1955, about 40,000 troops occupied Austria.
