NUREMBERG
Nuremberg and hundreds of defenders fell to American control at 1400 April 20, 1945. This column of German soldiers captured by the 30th Regiment is paraded through the rubble. German defenders for Nuremberg included battle groups Dirnagel and Rienew with the 1st Battalion of the 38th Panzer Grenadier Regiment along with police, a group of 150 fireman and other civil servants.
