OBERTHERES
Engineers maintain a bridge near Obertheres as a Seventh Army column advances across the Main River. The vehicle on the bridge appears to be a munitions carrier for the 601st Tank Destroyer Battalion. The 3rd Division began its crossing of the river on April 11 with the objective of the Nazi shrine city of Nuremberg. The 45th Division held the left flank and the 42nd Division on the right.
