DACHAU
Trainloads of bodies were the first thing the 45th Division soldiers saw as they approached Dachau. The camp played a major role in distributing prisoners to be executed and housed and executed soviet prisoners brought to the camp. From 1933-1945 over 206,000 prisoners were processed through Dachau.
