NUREMBERG
The Laufer Torturm, one of several towers linking the original 7-km wall around Alt Nuremberg, was the scene of a pitched battle for a 30th Regiment anti-tank platoon led by 2nd Lt. Telephor C. Tremblay on the afternoon of April 19. After an assault using a tank destroyer and bazookas, 125 German soldiers surrendered the position. The previous photos were taken from the top of this tower.
