AIX-EN-PROVENCE

The move on Aix-en-Provence began in the afternoon of August 20 with the 2nd Battalion of the 30th Regiment. The action moved along Highway 7 to the north where the "hub" roads entered the city from Avignon, Grenoble and the coast. To the south, French First Army troops were close to securing Toulon and Marseilles. In this photo, T4 Morris J. Ratick of the 163rd Signal Photo Company is filming with a 35mm Eyemo camera.
