BAD WILDUNGEN, GERMANY 1945
Photographer Bill Toomey poses before the 3rd Signal Co. headquarters in Bad Wildungen, Germany on July 24, 1945. The area of occupation in Hesse covered more than 5,500 square miles. The division was ordered back to the U.S. in August 1946 returning in 1958 after its deployment in the Korean War.
