SIEGSDORF

Tens of thousands of prisoners were processed by the 3rd Division at the end
of the war in Austria. Field Marshall Kesselring, who faced the 3rd Division in Italy, surrendered the entire German southern force numbering more than a million men on May 8 working through the 3rd Division at Salzburg to reach Sixth Army Group command.
