LARNOD
Columns of 1st Battalion, 7th Regiment moving further up the road in Larnod heading for positions near Besancon. The "spade" on the back of the helmets identifies these soldiers as belonging to the 7th Regiment's 1st Battalion. Spades, hearts and clubs were used by the 7th Regiment to identify their battalions during the southern France landings.
