SAINT DIE
The German high command had no justification when it ordered St. Die destroyed. The Germans shot 34 people during their occupation with more than 2,000 people were forced to work for the Germans or taken prisoner, it is believed 900 men were sent to work in German factories. The signs point left to a Slaughterhouse and right to the Fieldcommander of St Die on Quai Jeanne d' Arc.
