NOMPATELIZE
Engineers maintain a Bailey Bridge over the Meurthe River near Nompatelize. Moving into November, the 3rd Division was in action around Les Jumeaux and Le Haut Jacques where it took five days to advance a few hundred yards and troops named it the "Crossroads of Hell".
