KAISERLAUTERN
On March 22, the 3rd Division moved from Zweibrucken toward Kaiserlautern, Germany. With a successful full-out assault against Germany from Belgium to Switzerland along with Russian troops targeting Berlin in the east, the Allied armies were confident the German surrender was only a matter of time.
