SIEGFRIED LINE
A view of the obstacles on the Siegfried Line near Zweibrucken shows barbed wire and camouflage. A gun bunker sits above what appears to be a concrete wall. The line's fortifications were a maze of reinforced pillboxes with interlocking fields of fire, barbed wire, ditches< and dragon's teeth. The 3rd Division breached the line in three days from March 18-20, 1945.
