BEYOND MONTELIMAR
These German soldiers were lucky to escape death at Montelimar. More than 600 German LXXXV Corps soldiers from the 19th Army lost their lives at Montelimar with 1,500 wounded and several thousands missing. The Allied units lost 187 killed, 1,023 wounded with 365 missing with most casualties in the 141st and 143rd regiments.
