NUREMBERG
Soldiers of the 3rd Division rooting out snipers in Nuremberg – in the street is a fallen soldier. The Americans faced hundreds of snipers in the rubble of the city along with mines, booby trapped bodies, fanatical civilians and Hitler Youth in the Nazi's desperate, futile and entirely unnecessary defense of what they called the "most German of all cities" and birthed Germany's anti-Semitism. Note the white garment flying from the window left of center.
