BAMBERG

Bomb damage to the building that stood at 1 Gruner Markt at the edge of the Obstmarkt in Bamberg. Signage indicates it housed a photographic shop and the dental office of Friedr Geus – note the Agfa rollfilm vending machine. The Luftwaffe bombed 15th Regiment positions in Bamberg during the night of April 13. The attack inflicted many casualties and destroyed several vehicles and buildings and hit some of the hospitals. Luftwaffe activity so late in the war was a bit of a fluke and the following night, 7th Regiment positions near Frenshof were attacked.
