STEINACH
An American M36 tank destroyer seemingly abandoned in Steinach. After passing through the roadblock southeast of Steinach, a larger concentration of enemy artillery and Nebelwerfer fire and ten more Mark V tanks were met at the town's edge by the advancing infantry and armor. After a few hours, the enemy lost its remaining tanks to tank and bazooka fire. The bazooka teams led the advance into Steinach.
