YELLOW BEACH - BAY OF PAMPELONNE
LST 906 was fitted with an L4 takeoff strip by the U.S. Navy for the southern France landings based on a 10th Engineer's prototype used in the Sicily landings. Wilfred Boucher's plane is in the foreground.
