BRIGNOLES
A man accused of being a Gestapo agent is jailed in Brignoles on August 19, 1944. The battle for Brignoles was the toughest fight during the breakout from the beachhead for the 2nd Battalion of the 30th Regiment and a patrol from the 3rd Reconnaissance Troop.
