REMIREMONT
General Alexander Patch of the Seventh Army looks over the maps at the 3rd Division War Room in Remiremont. As October passed, VI Corps and the Seventh Army, now assembled under the Sixth Army Group, looked towards Strasbourg and the Rhine River while contemplating a concentration of German troops east of the Rhine River centered around Colmar in a sector assigned to the French Army.
