REMIREMONT
The 3rd Division put La Statue du Voluntaire to use as a traffic cop and a coat rack in Remiremont. The 1899 monument commemorates 1,300 Remiremont volunteers who rose to the defense of France in 1792. Note the child sitting at its base taking in the scene.
