SAINT DIE
St. Die suffered at the hands of the Germans when they methodically destroyed most of the city as they retreated. At the top of this image is the Roman Catholic L'Eglise Notre Dame de Galilee. Over 1,300 buildings were destroyed in the destruction that began on November 7, 1944.
