STRASBOURG
Les Palais du Rhin facing the Place de la Republique in Strasbourg, France at the time of the 3rd Division occupation in December 1944. The building was commissioned by Kaiser Willhelm I after the Franco-Prussian War when the region was controlled by Germany. During the war, the Germans used it as a central base of government for occupied France.
