SCHIRMECK
As they advance through Schirmeck towards Mutzig, France, 3rd Division troops riding an M10 tank destroyer pass a fallen fellow soldier. Action in this area was also attended by the 100th and 103rd Infantry divisions as bewildered and isolated German defenders capitulated in the face of the Allied advance.
