LE COLOMBIER – GRIGNAN
A tank destroyer from the 601st Tank Destroyer Battalion at the D4 and D24 intersection near Grignan. The nine-day battle took place in a wide battle square with varied terrain, mostly hills as high as 1,900 feet and valleys, stretching from Montelimar to the Drome River and east to the positions of the 45th Division. All three VI Corps divisions were active in the battle.
