This image shows the detail on the left side of the previous photo. Since the 3rd Division had started it's advance into Germany on March 15, 6,146 prisoners had been tagged through March 31. In towns where civilian groups had been organized to resist with Panzerfaust and rifles, resistance melted away quickly when the tanks and tank destroyers rolled into action.
