HORNBACH

Soldiers of a 2nd Battalion, 15th Regiment mortar detail cautiously step across a destroyed bridge over the Hornbach River in Mauschbach, Germany on their advance towards Hornbach. The German 17th SS Panzer Division was the main force in the 3rd Division's path. In the background are two columns that is a WWI German war memorial.
