PONT-A-MOUSSON
At Pont-a-Mousson, France pilot Lt. Robert E. Ward of the 367th Fighter Squadron with Breezy II as a backdrop, thrills a group of 3rd Division sergeants with tales of his 95 missions. Left to right are S/Sgts George Rebovich, Harless Hammons and Carl G. Bohannon of the 7th Regiment. With the move to Pont-a-Mousson after the Colmar Campaign, Gen. Devers promised the 3rd Division they would be so far back from the front line they could "eat ice cream".
