OPERATION DRAGOON The Germans had been building their defenses in southern France since 1942 although by the time of the invasion, many units had been stripped to support forces in the north. These soldiers are being processed at a 3rd Signal Co. bivouac area by Lt. Daub while, to the far right, without shirt, the cook looks on.
