YELLOW BEACH - Anse de Pampelone

Landing craft head to the beaches south of St. Tropez at Yellow Beach. The 15th Regiment landed at Yellow Beach with its first objective of securing St. Tropez to the north, securing the peninsula, and moving to assembly at Cogolin. Opposition was scattered, allowing for a rapid advance from the beachhead. Initial encounters with the enemy often led to eager surrender.
