U.S. RIVIERA RECREATIONAL AREA - Cannes
The Boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes, 33.5 km east of Nice, with the 1911 InterContinental Carlton in the background. The Carlton's distinctive domes are said to have been designed to honor the breasts of Caroline Otero – "La Belle Otero" – a famous courtesan of the Riviera.
