BAGNOLI

This photograph shows 3rd Division soldiers of the 1st Battalion, 7th Regiment, on the right, identified with a spade on their helmets, and the 3rd Battalion on the left, identified by clubs on their helmets, in Bagnoli, east of Pozzuoli, on July 31, during a loading exercise. All three VI Corps divisions trained on the Italian coast from July 31-August 6. Air drop units trained separately near Rome.
