Seventh Army commander Maj. Gen. Alexander M. Patch reviews 3rd Division troops in Pozzuoli, Italy 1944. The Seventh Army was commanded by General Patton but was in reserve in Sicily since August 1943. Patton transferred to join Operation Overlord in January of 1944.
