A German 88 did the damage to this 3rd Signal Company radio vehicle
in the Padiglione Woods at Anzio. As the Allied 15th Army Group planned for
the beachhead breakout, replacements streamed ashore to fill depleted units
with the U.S. 1st Armored Division brought in at full strength.
