![]() ANZIO BEACHHEAD The story of the 3rd Signal Company's five photographers was birthed on the Anzio beachhead by Lt. George "Fuzzy" Fezell seen here on the right. Fezell was the 3rd Signal Company CO from Aug. 1943 to mid-April 1944. Fezell's idea for a five-man photo team and photo lab trailer was to document the 3rd Division's progress and aid its need for aerial photography.
